No. 6 Oregon is in trouble. The Ducks trail Arizona State 13-7 heading into the fourth quarter in Tempe, Arizona, and if they don't get their act together quickly, their College Football Playoff hopes will be extinguished. It's hard to find a single thing the Ducks have done well through the first three quarters. Justin Herbert has completed only 10 of his 20 passes for 127 yards and an interception early in the fourth quarter. While Oregon is averaging 5.7 yards per carry on the ground, none of it has translated into sustained drives.
Then there's the Oregon defense that's been getting carved up by Arizona State. The Sun Devils already have 384 yards of offense, and freshman QB Jayden Daniels is already at 298 yards passing. If there's any good news it's that Oregon's defense has made some key stops in the red zone, as both Arizona State's red zone trips have resulted in field goals. Of course, none of that will matter if the Oregon offense doesn't manage to find the end zone at least once. It's playoff or bust for the Ducks in the fourth quarter.
