Justin Herbert and the Oregon Ducks ran their way to victory in the 106th Rose Bowl, defeating the Wisconsin Badgers in thrilling fashion for a 28-27 victory.
While you have very likely seen all of the video highlights, including the Brady Breeze blocked punt that was returned for a score and all of Herbert’s three rushing touchdowns, at least one person noted that Herbert’s final score produced an incredibly funny coincidental moment and an iconic photo.
During his go-ahead touchdown run in the fourth quarter, Herbert faked a handoff and then shot outside for a 30-yard rushing touchdown. But what you may have missed during the play on the ESPN broadcast is one of the players chasing him. As Twitter user @edsbs points out, the pursuit of Herbert by the defense produced a Duck being chased by a “goose” with No. 5 Rachad Wildgoose trailing Herbert on the play.
