Latest College Football Playoff Top 25 rankings - 247Sports

Another one bites the dust.

Oregon's loss at Arizona State over the weekend all but eliminates the Ducks from College Football Playoff contention judging by the selection committee's take in Tuesday night's latest Top 25.

One-loss Utah is the Pac-12's best shot at ending a multi-year drought in the final four after coming up just inside the Top 7 heading into rivalry weekend.

“I think Utah still has a great chance," College GameDay analyst Kirk Herbstreit said during Tuesday night's appearance on SportsCenter. "I’m surprised to see the FPI percentage at 10 percent (to make the Playoff). I think the only difference is the winner of that game (Pac-12 title) would’ve had a chance to go on and now it’s just Utah. I don’t think the committee will look at Oregon losing and take any value away from a Pac-12 champion if Utah were to win that game.

"If you're an Oklahoma or an Alabama fan, you better hope Utah loses. I don’t care what the percentages say, I've got news for you — if LSU, Ohio State and Clemson win out, as we sit here right now with two weeks to go, I will say Utah will be the team that goes to that final spot if they beat Colorado and Oregon."

With three unbeatens and one-loss Georgia in the best shape, here's a look at the full Top 25 from the selection committee's fourth rankings reveal:
