Colby Covington challenges ‘50 Cent’ to celebrity boxing match for $1 million - ‘He’s a little b*tch’ - MMA Mania

Colby Covington recently broke his silence following his loss to Kamaru Usman at UFC 245 last December (see it here). During a recent interview on Ariel Helwani’s MMA Show, “Chaos” was highly-critical of referee Marc Godard, as well as Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC).

But there was another person in his cross-hairs, as Colby took aim at rapper “50 Cent” for mocking him and his injuries immediately after his loss.

“Nah, does my jaw look broken. I’ve been smiling,” proclaimed Colby when asked if he did in fact suffer a broken jaw. “The only person that has his jaw wired shut is ‘50 Cent.’ If you want to talk about people who had to get their jaw wired shut let’s talk about him. He says he got shot nine times, if you got shot one time by me you wouldn’t get back up. ‘50 Cent’ is a little bitch.”

Indeed, “50 Cent,” real name Curtis Jackson, was shot nine times outside of his grandmothers home back in 2000. One of the bullets hit Jackson’s left cheek, resulting in months of grueling rehab, including having his mouth wired shut. As a result, he ended up with a bit of slurred speech, which has actually given him a unique sound for his rap career.

Still, Covington isn’t giving the gangster rapper a pass, and actually challenged him to a celebrity boxing match with a $1 million prize. To make it even sweeter, “Chaos” vowed to tie one his hands behind his back.

“He came out after the fight talking mad crap on me. Talking all this smack all this MAGA talk, putting all these Instagram posts up,” he said. “So I am ready to do a celebrity boxing match. I will tie one hand behind my back and I will fight ‘50 Cent’ and put up a million of my dollars to fight him in a celebrity boxing match. And I am going to give all the money to the troops because I love the troops so much.”

This isn’t the first time “50 Cent” — who has a great partnership with Bellator MMA — has drawn the ire of a mixed martial arts (MMA) star, as he had a small back-and-forth with both Conor McGregor and Quinton Jackson.

As far Covington’s challenge itself, unless your fighting under the DAZN banner, who are no strangers to putting on celebrity fights, it’s unlikely to happen. And in the off chance it does, Colby might want to re-think tying one hand behind his back, as Jackson seems to have some decent hands.

Just ask Floyd Mayweather.
