Joe Burrow and No. 2 LSU are currently in control against No. 3 Alabama in arguably the biggest college football clash of the season so far, with College Football Playoff implications and SEC bragging rights on the line.
Third quarter: LSU 33, Alabama 20
Tua Tagovailoa and Najee Harris made sure Alabama did everything it could in the third quarter to get the Tide back into the game against LSU. Combine that with the defense stepping up to shut down Joe Burrow and the Tigers offense, and this is only a two-score game headed into the fourth quarter. The question is whether they can keep up their momentum to complete their comeback attempt. -- Andrea Adelson
Halftime: LSU 33, Alabama 13
Joe Burrow and LSU take advantage of a Tua Tagovailoa interception with a 13-yard touchdown pass to Clyde Edwards-Helaire.
LSU did to Alabama in the first half what it has done to everybody else on the schedule this season: Absolutely dominate on offense. It's just that nobody expected Alabama to look so ragged across the board and trail by 20 at halftime. Joe Burrow has been nearly perfect, with only two incompletions, 252 yards passing and three touchdowns. LSU's 33 points are the most Alabama has allowed in a first half of a home game under Nick Saban. -- Andrea Adelson
First quarter: LSU 10, Alabama 7
Joe Burrow lofts the ball up and Ja'Marr Chase comes down with it for the 33-yard touchdown grab for LSU.
Alabama can thank Jaylen Waddle for saving it from a disastrous first quarter against LSU. Until his punt return for a touchdown, all the Crimson Tide did was make one uncharacteristic mistake after another. QB Tua Tagovailoa fumbled running toward the end zone without anyone touching him. The Tide also mishandled a punt and had a penalty wipe out an interception. They have to feel fortunate to only be down 10-7. -- Andrea Adelson
