Watch the play Warriors' Stephen Curry suffers broke his left hand on vs. the Suns - SF Gate

Warriors star Stephen Curry broke his left hand in the third quarter against the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday night at the Chase Center, the Warriors confirmed.

Curry was driving to the basket when he ran into the Suns' Aron Baynes, landing hard on his left land, which Baynes then landed on top of.

Afterward, Curry was seen holding his left wrist area.

According to NBC Sports' Kerith Burke, who spoke with Warriors GM Bob Myers following the injury, "Steph Curry will have a CT scan to determine if surgery is next the next step. A cast on Steph's broken left hand could be an option too. Estimated time of recovery unknown right now."

The Warriors were trailing the Suns 83-54 when Curry left the game and headed to the locker room. Curry finished his night with 9 points, 6 assists and 5 rebounds in 21 minutes of action.

Here's the play where Steph broke his hand:

The Dubs are already without All-Star guard Klay Thompson, who suffered a torn ACL during the NBA Finals last season, leaving them down two Splash Brothers in the midst of an already challenging first season at Chase Center. Golden State has trailed by 30 or more in three of their four games.
